![]() I'm writing to some serial comm port with specific bytes set into buffer. I need to change the "Receive Buffer" size on the FIFO used by the RS232 port in windows 7. 1000 bytes is definitely greater than the hardware buffer size. The serial data on such a machine is received by a chip called UART, that has a defined buffer of between 16 to 256 or even more bytes. ![]() Of course, the solutions of making the sketch "smarter" (ie not using delays) are respected. The hard coded buffer size is stored in a file called HardwareSerial.
